David and Karen Hard
SALT / Latin America
Since 2013, David or “Chip” and Karen Hard have served with SALT (Support and Leadership Training), which aims to develop, train, and support church leaders in underserved regions of the world. SALT provides quality theological education to pastors and church leaders where it is not readily available. Chip is the academic dean of SALT as well as one of the teachers while Karen is SALT’s financial director. Although they reside in Delaware, they frequently travel to places like Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Paraguay to teach biblical courses to national leaders. Sometimes they have opportunity to teach together, like when they spoke on the theology of marriage and family in Chosica, Peru. Karen has also been the key speaker at a ladies’ conference for the Quechua people in Ayacucho, Peru.
Dr. David Hard was a Bible professor for many years while Karen is a retired navy officer and former ROTC instructor. They have 3 grown sons and 2 grandkids.
Prayer requests:
- Pray that through these courses, God’s Word will continue to go forth and bear great fruit.
- Pray for SALT’s expansion in Liberia, Africa. Pray for this opportunity to train 60 pastors in this Western African nation who have no formal biblical and theological training.
- Pray that the Lord will raise up teachers for all their classes.
If you are interested in personally connecting with any of our missionaries or you would like a prayer card, please contact the church office.
