Riverstone Church provides partial monthly support to missionaries in countries world-wide. Some of these missionaries are serving in "closed" or "secure" countries where the gospel cannot be freely shared. Please join us in prayer as we support these individuals and families who have dedicated to full-time Christian service.

Peter and Margré Hays

GEM / Netherlands

Peter and Margré live in Alkmaar, Netherlands. They went into full-time ministry in 1988 and have a passion to share the message of Jesus and make disciples. Their ministry focus to make disciples is threefold:

  1. The Dutch – They seek to give every Dutch person the opportunity to hear who Jesus is and experience the life-changing power of God's love. They do this through The Power to Change city evangelism project. Through this initiative from various churches in Alkmaar, they boldly share the life-changing message to the Dutch people on the streets of Alkmaar. Both Peter and Margré meet weekly with the various Power to Change volunteers to guide them in outreach projects.
  2. Eastern Europe – Margré serves on the International Executive Team of Greater Europe Mission. She trains via Zoom and travels regularly to Eastern Europe to recruit and train Christian leaders in Bible study ministry through Community Bible Studies International.
  3. The World – Peter is involved in mentoring and training Christian leaders at Tyndale Theological Seminary. These students he pours into, graduate and become ministry leaders in the global church.

Peter and Margré love serving in their local church. Peter is an elder, Margré leads the teen ministry, and both teach in the children's Sunday School. As part of the “sandwich generation,” they are caring for Margré's 90-year old father. They also are actively discipling some of their former foster kids.

Peter and Margré have been blessed with 4 biological and 3 bonus children who are all grown. They have also had more than 20 foster children in their home and are crazy about their 7 biological grandkids​ and 6 bonus grandkids!

Prayer Requests:
  • Pray that the Power to Change city evangelism project will be effective in getting the gospel to the 250,000 unchurched people of Alkmaar.
  • Ask the Lord to raise up volunteer leaders throughout Eastern Europe to make disciples through in-depth Bible study.
  • Pray for the students of Tyndale Theological Seminary to grow not only in wisdom and knowledge, but also in faith and love for the Lord Jesus Christ.
