Each month, GROW, a local ESL organization, hosts Conversation Cafés with ESL students. They have invited Riverstone Church to participate with them in this great outreach to immigrant groups of Northeast Philadelphia.
Each month, GROW, a local ESL organization, hosts Conversation Cafés with ESL students. They have invited Riverstone Church to participate with them in this great outreach to immigrant groups of Northeast Philadelphia.
What is a Conversation Café?
An informal gathering where groups of 1-3 ESL students gather with a native English-speaker (you!) to practice speaking English together around a conversation topic. Students in each group will range from basic to advanced proficiency in English. Watch this testimonial video of GROW ESL students to hear the impact it has on them. This is a great way to build relationships with residents in our area who have migrated from all over the world!
