Day #5 Prayer Focus – Glorifying God
“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17
As we strive this year to put off our old selves and put on our new selves in the power of the gospel, let us seek to glorify God in all our ways.
Therefore, please pray for our church family:
- that God would work out our “every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in us” [2 Thess 1:11].
- that in our love and good works the church would be built up and the world around us would be drawn to Christ, glorifying our God in heaven [Matt 5:16; Eph 4:15].
- that we would walk in wisdom, courage, and humility toward those outside the Church and that our speech would always be seasoned with grace [Col 4:5-6].
- that we would be a people who live in the light of God’s face, in true righteousness and holiness, that his name would be magnified among us [Psalm 89:15; Eph 4:24].
"Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together!” Psalm 34:3
