Day #4 Prayer Focus – Overflowing in the Word
“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:15-16
As we resolve to walk in the newness of life in Christ Jesus, let us dwell in the Word of God, be filled with the Holy Spirit, and overflow in praise and thanksgiving.
Therefore, please pray for our church family:
- that God would pour out the love of Christ in our hearts and fill us with his Holy Spirit [Rom 5:5; Eph 3:19, 4:18].
- that God would give us a hunger to read, study, and meditate on his Word and be guarded in the peace and power of Christ Jesus [Eph 6:17; Phil 4:7-8].
- to prioritize fellowship with one another, teaching and building one another up in the love of God and the Word of God [Eph 4:15-16; Heb 10:24-25].
- that we would overflow with grace to one another in the church and those in our communities and it would increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God [2 Cor 4:15].
“I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1
